Paddle the Don is a free event; however donations to regenerate the Don are encouraged. Your fundraising efforts will be rewarded with terrific prizes!

We’ve made it even easier for you to collect pledges from your friends and family! There are two options:

Download and print a pledge form (pdf). Bring the completed pledge form along with all of the money you've collected to the event.

The Conservation Foundation of Greater Toronto will issue a tax receipt for all donations $10 and over. Donations will help support environmental regeneration projects in the Don watershed.

Prizes

  • Raise between $100-$199.99 - Paddle the Don baseball cap*
  • Raise between $200 and $399.99 and receive a $25 Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate*
  • Raise $400 or more and receive a $50 Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate*

  • The top individual fundraiser will receive:
    $200 Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate*
  • The second place individual fundraiser will receive:
    $100 Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate*

    $50 Mountain Equipment Co-op gift certificate*

I’m paddling this year and I challenge all paddlers to out do me in my fund raising efforts for Paddle The Don.

Here‘s the carrot: Who ever raises the most money other than me will join me, for - as Rodney Clark aptly called it-
“a shoreline engagement of eating at Rodney’s Oyster House”. You can also bring your fellow paddler, friend, mate or spouse –
the two of you.

Easy fundraising tips:

» Start with YOU – go ahead, pledge yourself!

» Ask friends, family and neighbours to support you. Use the message we’ve provided and personalize it to suit your needs.

» Ask your company match your pledges.

» Ask early; don’t wait for the last minute to begin your campaign. Be prepared for some No's and don't get discouraged. Remember to thank everyone who supports you right away!

» Make it as easy as possible for someone to give you money. Use the secure online
pledge system.
