Fundraising

We’ve made it even easier for your team to collect additional donations and pledges from fellow employees and other corporations and companies. Fundraising can now be done online, or you can continue to print and use the pledge form.

Team commitments must be made by April 30th for the winner to be announced at the Banrock Station Landing Party at the day of the event.

The Conservation Foundation of Greater Toronto will issue a tax receipt for all donations $10 and over. Donations will help support environmental regeneration projects in the Don watershed.

Team Awards

Winning the challenge is simple!

The team that raises the most in donations wins the Banrock Station Corporate Team Challenge and receives the following:

  • Banrock Station Cup - your team and corporate names will be added to the Cup and you will possess this trophy for one year;
  • Banrock Station paddle - your team will receive a handcrafted wooden paddle and a framed team photo to hang in your office as a permanent keepsake; and,
  • Banrock Station reception - Banrock Station Wines will host a reception for up to 20 people.
  • Recognition at the Banrock Station Landing Party

The second place team will receive:

  • Gift basket from TRCA’s Black Creek Historic Brewery
  • Recognition at the Banrock Station Landing Party
  • Recognition at the June 2010 TRCA Board meeting

The third place team will receive:

  • Gift basket from TRCA’s Black Creek Historic Brewery
  • Recognition at the Banrock Station Landing Party
  • Recognition at the June 2010 TRCA Board meeting

Team Resources

Corporate Team Fundraising Tips:

» Make the first donation. Donors are more motivated if they know you contributed to the cause.

» Conduct an email or letter writing campaign. Engage other corporations, clients, suppliers, employees, family and friends to support your team. Use the message we’ve provided and personalize it to suit your needs.

» Ask your company to match employee contributions.

» Organize a dress down day at work for a donation in support of the Don River.

» Collect extra change near the register in the cafeteria or at the reception desk.

» Ask early; don’t wait for the last minute to begin your campaign. Be prepared for some No's and don't get discouraged. Remember to thank everyone who supports you right away!

» Make it as easy as possible for a company or individual to support you. Use the secure online pledge system.
